Homes and Such—a home design and construction management firm—brings a global mindset to the local Minneapolis stage. Rooted in the philosophy of creating “function-first” interiors, founder Jyoti Ghugale has incorporated her life experiences into her passion for design. As an Indian American woman who has lived in the U.S., England, Mexico, and India, her unique designs blend a family’s lifestyle with the character of their home and environment to best reflect the family’s story. Jyoti strives to provide a more inclusive, flexible work environment in the realm of design with virtual teams of extremely talented people, especially women who may otherwise be unable to choose the traditional career model.
Jyoti’s skilled teams are able to craft functional spaces that are equal parts beautiful and meant to enhance the family’s lifestyle. Jyoti is looking to build global relationships across cultures by traveling nationally and internationally for projects and partnerships. “Home design and construction management is a very ‘local’ and ‘in-person’ industry,” says Jyoti. “We are striving to change this while balancing and preserving the high-touch expectations of our clients—and be part of driving a new paradigm in the home design business.”
