Nestled in Spicer, Minnesota, along the shores of Lake Florida, this 4,568-square-foot new build stands as a testament to modern design. With a lot surrounded by water on the east and west sides, the clients desired a home with lots of windows and glass to accentuate the picturesque surroundings. Inside, they envisioned an open, spacious layout with clean aesthetics and seamless connections to the outdoors.
M&M Home Contractors partnered with architecture firm Strand Design for the project—accomplishing the clients’ goals and maximizing the potential of the lakeside location. To bring the clients’ vision to life, the home features several panes of glass and bifold doors that open and capture views of the water. It’s dark-clad exterior offers a striking contrast to the dynamic interior, where an open glass railing system and two-story loft layout open the space and create continuity. Custom white oak cabinetry and millwork further unify the space and infuse it with a natural warmth. Dubbed the “Westwood Oasis,” this residence is bathed in captivating light from dawn to dusk.
