For over 10 years, Rebekah Cook has been at the helm of Forage Modern Workshop, an open-practice design company that specializes in various design projects such as creative speculative remodeling, small commercial redevelopment, and more. Cook began her journey in the design space 12 years ago and has been making an impact ever since.
Cook’s passion stems from her deep-seeded desire to make homes and spaces beautiful and make space for others to succeed. From being on the teams that turned a dilapidated appliance store into The Blue Door Longfellow and moving an original 1956 Fodero diner from Pennsylvania to Minneapolis (to turn an old Taco Bell into what is now Hi-Lo Diner) to growing a boutique real estate brokerage and company from five to 22 in two years, as well as leading a historic theater in Minneapolis through a pandemic, Cook’s drive is to make cultural contributions to her community.
Her role across the various companies and positions has allowed her to take on a sort of “artist manager” responsibility. She says, “It’s incredibly rewarding to see those around me succeed—and an honor to feel like I got to play a part in it.”
