For thousands of gift givers across Minnesota, a holiday shopping trip to Mall of America is a given. While you’re there, make sure to stop by pottery pop-up shop Ceramica: A Collaboration in Clay to round out your list. Located on the first level near Nordstrom and available to shop through early January, the 2,300-square-foot storefront features an exclusive collaboration between two local potters: Minneapolis’ Dock 6 Pottery, which specializes in designs that combine fused glass and pottery, and Hutchinson’s Clay Coyote, known for its line of Flameware skillets, saucepans, and more. But after the clay is thrown and the kiln has cooled, both female-led small businesses strive toward one goal: to share decorative-yet-functional pottery with global shoppers during the heart of the holidays.
