Nicollet Makers Market

Uncover custom, original treasures like wrap headbands, jewelry, and beauty products from Minnesota makers. After 13 successful years setting up shop in Northeast Minneapolis and St. Paul, Nicollet Makers Market trudged south to expand into Minneapolis’ booming downtown district. The outdoor shopping experience hosts talented craft artists of all disciplines—including shops like 32Threads, Mandy by Mandy, and WhatKnotShop—and features more than 20 established, emerging, and new artisans of the north. Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. @ Nicollet between Sixth and Eighth streets, Minneapolis, nicolletmakersmarket.com

Haupt Antiek Market

This month’s Haupt Antiek Market showcases the familiar beauty of a fall harvest. Rare, unique items are carefully curated to provide the very best antiques, hard-to-find items, vintage decor, and repurposed antiques in the metro. Open only four days every month, this highly anticipated market is ever-changing with new themes—always offering customers something fresh. Guest dealer Stephanie Adams will join forces with the fall-inspired market to offer accent pieces, chairs, tables, and harvest style “junk.” Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. @ 7570 W. 147th, Apple Valley, hauptantiek.com

Field Trip 2018

When it’s free, family-friendly, and full of fine art, you can’t ask for more. It’s true—Minneapolis Craft Market and Three Rivers Park District are heading to Silverwood Park for a field trip you won’t want to miss. With craft beers, poetry installations, musical entertainment, lawn Jenga, new sculptures, and of course, art, you’ll be sure to meet your maker.  Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. @ Silverwood Park, 2500 County Rd. E. W., St. Anthony, facebook.com

2018 Fall Dahlia Show

Ever seen a dahlia? It’s a flower—a gorgeous one—with a showy, flamboyant feel. You can see some of the best Minnesota growers have to offer at Bachman’s 2018 Fall Dahlia Show—a contest that searches for the most decadent dahlias. The contestants, all members of Minnesota Dahlia Society or an American Dahlia Society affiliated society, will have their blooms judged by accredited judges. But luckily for the public, they can stop by and view the flowers free of cost. Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. @ Bachmans on Lyndale, 6010 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, minnesotadahliasociety.com

Maker Days at Linden Hills

Hang out with more than 50 makers, munchers, and merchants (we’re talking your favorite farmers, most influential food entrepreneurs, and chase-down-the-street food trucks) that fuel the Twin Cities. Since 2012, the Linden Hills Farmers Market has worked diligently (every Sunday, rain or shine) to support and strengthen the relationship between the local community, artisans, and growers. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., outside of Settergren’s Hardware, 2813 West 43rd St., Minneapolis, lindenhillsfarmersmarket.org
