Making their debut this month on HGTV, Lindsey Uselding and Kirsten Meehan—emergency home restoration experts and sisters—embark on a quest to fix families’ property disasters. Starting on March 28, the eight-episode season shows the home restoration process from start to finish. Uselding takes charge of logistics and insurance, while Meehan oversees construction and design. With their unique combination of skills, the team can assess damage and create a full renovation plan to restore homes to their original states.

The start of their restoration journey began at Ungerman, Inc.: a family-owned mitigation and restoration company providing full-service restoration, reconstruction, and renovation in the Twin Cities. Co-owners of the company, Uselding and Meehan developed a passion for the niche insurance restoration industry and have since wanted to expand their impact even further. Their new company, Practical Home, provides innovative solutions for home maintenance and design. By taking a fresh approach to interior restoration, the sisters use their expertise in home safety and emergency prevention while implementing beautiful design tactics.

“Lindsey and I see house emergencies of all shapes and sizes,” Meehan explains. “The key is that we stay positive for our clients, no matter the extent of the damage, and show them the fun in reimagining their new and improved home.” In the show, the team brings warmth, empathy, and humor to stressful situations and transforms dilapidated houses into dream homes. Uselding says, “We guide them through the restoration process, but our job is about more than restoring a house. It’s about bringing a family back home to live.”

What to expect this season? Uselding and Meehan help clients that have experienced home disasters ranging from kitchen fires to flooded basements to burst radiators and more. See the series premiere on Tuesday, March 28, 9 p.m. ET/PT.
