When Joe “Hutch” Hutchence and Bailey Aro Hutchence couldn’t find the perfect cabin to escape to, they did what all makers and entrepreneurs do—they designed their own and shared it with the world. Cedar Bound sells buildable kits for two-story glamping structures that can be customized to fit your visions of anything from rustic escape to full-on luxury. Each is part tent, part cabin, and features a canvas roof and side walls with a timber frame. You can even add Arctic insulation for year-round enjoyment in Minnesota and beyond. The husband-and-wife team lives in Duluth, and it’s clear that from the moment they met as summer camp staff in 2008, their love for nature and adventure has never waned.
