BEFORE: This family of six had outgrown their tired one-level, ranch-style rambler, built in 1969. After careful consideration, the original plan to remodel in phases shifted to a tear-down solution.
AFTER: Inspired by a less-is-more Scandinavian design, this “elegantly simple” home features 12-foot ceilings, a mix of natural maple and resilient concrete-colored linoleum flooring, and expansive transom windows capitalizing on scenic views outside.
MUST-SEE FEATURES: A dramatic contemporary exterior with natural and black-stained cedar siding, linear concrete hardscapes, and a natural prairie restoration; a master suite with pass-through shower to sauna, a baker’s kitchen with striking quartz waterfall countertops, and energy-saving green construction throughout.
