Before: This historic home, originally owned by the Gedney family (famous for the “Minnesota Pickle”) needed a major refresh. The home’s current owners were really in a “pickle” themselves, as the layout of the house was like a maze. Dolezal Creative Design Build worked to modernize the interior and revive the traditional look of the exterior.
After: The renovation of this 5,000-square-foot home resulted in an updated, modern look that incorporates natural light. The home’s new open floor plan functions well for the clients’ busy lifestyle. Dolezal was able to marry traditional with modern flair in this abode, and every room was intentionally designed with function and style in mind.
Must-See Features: Don’t miss the Gedney Pickle House’s old world-style library, where Dolezal repurposed an original 1920 fireplace front. The home also features zero-clearance, wood- burning fireplaces, an open kitchen with walnut cabinets, natural elements, new windows throughout, and a floating staircase with custom metal railings.
