Located on the sought-after Martinson Island in Prior Lake, this 3,500-square-foot lakeside home was reimagined to match the new owner’s style while keeping intact some key features from a previous remodel. The homeowner wanted to create a space that felt inviting with ample space for entertaining family and friends, which required updates in nearly every area of the interior. After a full remodel, the resulting design allows the great room to act as the heart of the home. In the kitchen, the walnut island ties in a natural feel to contrast the clean white cabinetry. Along the wall’s entirety, large windows and glass doors open to the back deck overlooking the water. In the lower level, the inset bar works with the existing stone fireplace to bring aesthetic continuity to an additional entertainment space. With a secret door to the homeowner’s hobby room as well, this casual lake home is not only the perfect place for company, but for peaceful solitude.
