From the very first look, this coastal-inspired lakeside home—with its deep navy exterior siding and contrasting white trim—draws you in. Coincidentally, the homeowner of the Crystal Lake abode happens to be Tracy Hains, founder and CEO of Che Bella Interiors Design + Remodeling, and the lead designer and general contractor on the project.
When first crafting the plans for the remodel, Hains set out to embrace the serene lake views and infuse the home with nautical charm. To achieve this, an expansive bank of bay windows in the kitchen perfectly frames the lake, with additional windows running the length of the main floor to maximize natural light. The kitchen features an oversize quartersawn white oak island, which is illuminated by large-scale, lantern-style pendants in a burnished gold finish.
Adjacent to the kitchen, a family room addition adds much-needed space. The indoor-outdoor living area below is an outdoor oasis, complete with a retractable Progressive power screen system that protects from the elements. Furnishings throughout the home play into the coastal feel with neutral fabric selections—designed with both entertaining and comfort in mind.
