MARK D. WILLIAMS CUSTOM HOMES
YEAR BUILT: 1919
TYPE OF REMODEL: Whole home
Before: This 1919 home was ready for a modern touch. With a dreary basement, cramped kitchen, and dark dining space, there was plenty of room for improvement.
After: Mark D. Williams Custom Homes added 373 square feet to create a fresh, expansive kitchen, mudroom, and powder bath entryway. The team maximized light with new south- and west-facing windows and updated the main level’s paint colors, flooring, and lighting. Hidden features like speakers and added security modernize the design further. The basement, completely gutted and remodeled, resulted in a new recreation room, with added square footage for a full-size washer and dryer, bathroom, and secondary mudroom. The attached garage became a fitness area perfect for at-home workouts. The backyard also went through an extensive transformation, now featuring a stone patio, pergola, lighting details, firepit, and sandbox.
