STYLE: Modern lakehouse The owners of this newly built house on Lake Minnetonka wanted a modestly scaled contemporary home with a seamless link to outdoor spaces. The couple engaged Aülik Design Build to create a streamlined modern aesthetic with traditional architectural forms and materials. In addition to gallery spaces for the homeowners’ art collection, they requested public spaces suitable to both large- and small- scale entertaining, a main floor owner suite, two guest suites, a well-appointed exercise room, and a water-facing study.

MUST-SEE FEATURES: The property features stunning west-facing shoreline views and a generous sandy private beach. An existing detached outbuilding was reconstituted as a self-sufficient guest cottage, providing visitors with privacy whether visiting the lake for the day or an extended stay.
