HENDEL HOMES

After earning his biology degree in 1997 from Bethel University, Rick Hendel was at a crossroad. He could pursue a medical degree, like he had been planning, or follow an unexpected passion for home building that was borne out of his side jobs as a laborer, carpenter, field supervisor, project manager, and more for premier Lake Minnetonka homes. He chose the latter, and Hendel Homes began.

For more than 20 years, Hendel Homes has made luxury homes throughout Minnesota, especially around lakes and on estate settings, open lots or tear downs, and acreage properties. Despite the decades of experience found within its staff of project managers, site superintendents, and more, the passion for creating the best homes possible has never waned.

“At Hendel Homes, we believe in a philosophy of stewardship; this translates into putting service before self and looking out for the interests of our clients and designers,” says the team. “Through thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and building technology, Hendel maintains budgets and schedules while executing unparalleled architectural details.”

Hendel Homes makes between 10-14 luxury homes per year, and each process begins with getting to know each homeowner’s distinct preferences, needs, and priorities. When the home building process is finished—often faster, less tedious, and more cost-effective than some competitors—the client relationship doesn’t end. Hendel Homes checks in with its clients through formal and informal meetings, phone calls, emails, and texts, giving home maintenance reminders and doing 30-day, 90-day, and one-year walk throughs. After all, your home is an investment in yourself and your loved ones, and they want to make sure yours pays off for decades to come.
