Nope, these aren’t professional photographs. Believe it or not, they’re 3D renders made and designed in TapGlance, an award-winning interior design app by Black Mana Studios. The app, only available for iOS devices, provides ultimate control, cutting-edge renders, and unlimited design options. It’s free, easy to learn, and easier to use—made for users with varying levels of design and technology experience.
Users have hundreds of ways to make any (and every) project their very own. After you download TapGlance, you have the option to start fresh with your own project or get to work on pre-made plans that will spark inspiration and give you a taste of the app’s power. You can resize, reverse, rotate, drag, and drop more than 2,000 free items and materials—from furniture to glass to wallpaper to decor to tile to storage.
The app truly doesn’t leave any stone unturned. You have the ability to switch between 2D and 3D perspectives, “dollhouse” or “walk through” views, and even change the height of the person’s “eyes” you’re viewing the space with.
If you can’t seem to get the hang of it, no problem. TapGlance’s website has a series of user tutorials available, including how to create a cathedral ceiling, importing a warehouse model, and on a more basic level, a 17-minute walk-through that explains the app’s feature in its entirety.
While you create, build, and customize, the space looks computerized and “fake,” but after TapGlance applies their cloud-rendering technology, the room comes to life. But keep in mind: Despite the app’s free download, users need to pay for the app’s signature 3D renders. After a free two-week trial, anyone who wants to continue using TapGlance’s render services needs to choose between a series of subscriptions. Prices range from $4.99 to $79.99 per month.
