Situated on Lake Minnetonka’s Big Island, this year-round getaway designed by RLH Studio incorporates traditional nautical elements and kid-friendly cabin essentials like bunk beds, built ins, and wool blankets inside an adorable bunkroom. Existing pine paneling and fir floors juxtapose newly installed shiplap and cabinets—making the family destination one that is updated for modern-day living, yet steeped in rich history. RLH Studio’s finished design successfully balances a lovely lakeside aesthetic with architectural integrity.
