Bria Hammel Expands Brooke & Lou Offerings and Will Open a Brick-and-Mortar Pop-Up

Even with expanded collections, new products seemingly every other day, and now a pop-up shop venture, the local interior designer and entrepreneur claims she’s just getting started

As a tastemaker and entrepreneur (not to mention interior designer), Bria Hammel is seemingly unstoppable. In January, Hammel added more than 100 new pieces to her popular Life Friendly home furnishings collection, Brooke & Lou. This month, Hammel launched a new garden collection, too—building on the one she launched in 2020.

And that’s not all: On April 24, she’ll introduce her first brick-and-mortar venture, a six-month pop-up shop at the Nolan Mains shopping center at the corner of 50th & France in Edina. “Since launching Brooke & Lou in 2018, our customers have consistently asked if we planned on opening a brick-and-mortar store where they could see and feel our pieces—especially our selection of exclusive fabrics, wallpaper, and upholstery,” Hammel says. “I am so excited to launch our pop-up store in Edina this April and finally be able to connect with our customers face to face.”

The store will showcase an array of home décor pieces and serve as a showroom for large furniture and upholstery pieces selected by Hammel. Visitors can also browse Brooke & Lou’s exclusive wallpaper and fabric selections and even take home samples.

“If there’s anything this past year has taught me, it’s the importance of home,” Hammel says. “I feel so humbled that so many have chosen Brooke & Lou pieces to fill theirs. Our pieces represent so much more than just beautiful furnishings. They are a safe spot to land, a place for family to gather, and an opportunity to make memories.”

Hammel adds that, “The response we’ve had since launching Brooke & Lou has exceeded all my wildest dreams. We’ve accomplished a lot over the past three years but, really, we’re just getting started.”
