Thank you for your interest in posting an event to our online calendar. Please review the policies and procedures below to better understand the way our calendar operates, and how you can ensure that your event is approved and published.
The Midwest Home online event calendar is a free resource to increase awareness of events of interest to our audience of home and garden aficionados in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. Our online calendar features events that reflect our audience’s interests, which include: architecture, home decor, home improvement, real estate, gardening, cooking, and DIY. Events posted to our calendar should be pertinent to people with these interests — events that fall outside of these categories may be a better candidate for our sister publication Minnesota Monthly.
It does not cost anything to submit an event to our online calendar. However, you must create an account on our website. There are no anonymous submissions allowed.
Events are reviewed for publication approximately once per week. If your event is occurring in the next few weeks, we encourage you to submit it as soon as possible. We cannot accomodate the publication of last-minute or day-of event listings. All event approvals and any removals after publication are subject to Greenspring Media discretion.
Be sure to provide accurate information before submitting your event. If you need to make changes after submission, you will be able to do so by visiting My Events List, however your event will go back into the review queue and will not be publicly visible during this time.
In order to be eligible for publication, submitted events must be no longer than 1 week long. Exceptions will be made on a discretionary basis. Events may be scheduled no more than 12 months in advance.
The Midwest Home events calendar is not the place to advertise services or attractions that are not hosting a specific, time limited event. If you are interested in promoting an attraction or service, we offer a variety of advertising solutions. Complete our advertising information form for more information.
Procedures
- Login or Register online
- Submit your event using our community event submission form
- After submitting your event, view and manage your events in My Events List.
- Once published, your event will appear on our Online Calendar
