Twin Cities shopping and event highlights for this week.

Max’s Semi-Annual Sale

It’s the same high quality, beautiful, and sometimes unorthodox jewelry that Max’s boutique has been known for—it’s just that a good number of it is 30 to 80 percent off. Besides jewelry, the store also offers gourmet chocolates and home decor. Their good taste doesn’t only cover gems and metals, after all. Through July 14 @ Max’s, The Shops at Excelsior & Grand, 3826 Grand Way, St. Louis Park, stylebymax.com

Nicollet Makers Market

Twice a month this summer, Nicollet Mall gets double the fun. On Thursday, of course, there is the farmers market, but every other Wednesday, you get the Nicollet Makers Market. Peruse more than a dozen artists and vendors selling items like Dragonflies and Cards’ intricate pop up cards, Idlewilde Artisan Candles, Teesdale Studios ceramics, and, for a sweet stop, Nelly Belly’s cupcakes. Wednesday 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. @ Nicollet Mall, between Seventh and Eighth Street, Minneapolis, nicolletmakersmarket.com

Maker Days at Linden Hills Farmers Market

The Twin Cities area is rife with artists, whether it’s their full-time job or their passion projects. Stop at the Minneapolis Craft Market at the Linden Hills Farmers Market every Sunday through Oct. 28. The artist lineup changes every week, so new treasures will appear throughout the summer. Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ Linden Hills Farmers Market, Settergren of Linden Hills, 2813 43rd St. W, Minneapolis, facebook.com

Carver Junk Co. DIY Workshops

Add a little whimsy to your home’s “hello” at this Asymmetrical Wreath Workshop (pictured above). Choose your color of Miss Mustard Seed’s natural milk paint and learn how to mix, apply, and seal it to the wooden cutout. The personalization continues with the choice between a silver or gold wreath ring and artificial eucalyptus or boxwood.

For those who want to wish upon a star (or for those who simply want to dip their toe in the world of decor painting), check out their Check Paint Pallet Star Art DIY Workshop on Friday. Work with Annie Sloan chalk paint to paint a wooden star rustic display piece for the Fourth of July, Christmas, or for a special someone.

Asymmetrical Wreath Workshop options on Thursday 6 to 8 p.m., July 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., July 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.; Chalk Paint Pallet Star Art DIY Workshop options on Friday 6 to 8 p.m. or Sunday 9 to 11 a.m.; Carver Junk Co., 206 N Chestnut St., Chaska, carverjunkcompany.com.

Cadillac Detours

We understand this isn’t the typical event that goes into this weekly roundup, but why not add a test drive in a luxury car to your weekend? In return, you get a $25 Galleria Edina gift card that you can use instantly on home boutiques like Ampersand, Arhaus, PBteen, and more. Plus, you might even find a new car for the wish list. Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. @ Entrance Door 7, Galleria, Edina, galleriaedina.com

Kitchenware Sales at Twin Cities Premium Outlets

For the month of June, the Kitchen Collection has a score of deals on BBQ accessories, like lighters, chill chests, cedar planks, heat-resistant gloves, and more. If you want to get some barbecue inspiration, check out Minnesota Monthly’s feature on the best barbecue places in the state. Then at Le Creuset, you can save 30 percent on stainless steel, enamel on steel, and toughened nonstick cookware. While the Kitchen Collection’s sale goes on through Saturday, Le Creuset’s ends on Thursday. Twin Cities Premium Outlets, 3965 Eagan Outlets Parkway, Eagan, premiumoutlets.com
