Evaluating Your Home for Solar at Castle Building
Discover if your home is a good candidate for solar panels at Castle Building, a building and remodeling service, at their Evaluating Your Home for Solar class. You don’t have to wonder if your roof is suitable for panel installation, if it will generate enough power and electricity to keep your home operating with ease, or even if it will be cost-effective. Designed to be informational and educational, the classes at Castle Building offer far more than just a generic and often-too-confusing how-to. (Really, attendees received $100 off design and planning services!) The days of what-if’s and wondering are over. Saturday 10 a.m. @ Longfellow Showroom, 4020 Minnehaha Ave., Minneapolis, castlebri.com
Art in the Garden
In a showcase of all things art and nature, the sixth annual Art in the Garden festival welcomes talented artists in a wide variety of mediums including ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, drawing/printmaking, photography, metal, painting, glass, and recycled art. Both days of the weekend art celebration will provide entertainment and live music, fab food, and free massages (say no more, right?), but Sunday goes above and beyond—boasting an Origami in the Garden community fold and a demonstration with Kendama toy expert Jacob Trebil. Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. @ Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska, artinthegarden.umn.edu

More than 50 vendors focused on selling, sampling, and savoring locally sourced food come together to provide the best.
