There’s no denying it: Minnesota’s art festival season is in full swing, and it isn’t slowing down. During the last weekend in July, the Loring Park Art Festival will commemorate its 20th anniversary with more local art than ever before. The two-day festival boasts 140 artists selling their exceptional original works across various disciplines—from painting and printmaking to metal and mixed media—to more than 25,000 visitors. If you’re planning on being one of them, make sure to chow down on a funnel cake or waffle cone at Hometown Creamery in the food court or fill up on craft beer at the Lakes & Legends Beer Garden before browsing the stalls. Then (with your new purchase tucked securely under your arm), make your way to the main stage where dynamic vocalist Annie Mack and singer-songwriter Ace Jones will belt out their latest melodic strains.
