With impeccable timing, given the magnetic pull of the 1960s and ’70s at the moment, Walker Art Center opened “International Pop” in April. The exhibit, which runs through August 29, goes beyond London and New York—and the iconic works of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein—to explore pop as a global phenomenon. Featuring 175 paintings, sculptures, videos, and installations from some 20 countries, the exhibit is earning enthusiastic reviews for its thoughtful perspectives and colorful energy. Catch it during Northern Spark, June 13-14, when it will set the stage for all-night screenings of ’60s films. walkerart.org, northernspark.org
