The Midwest Home Design Awards entry period is now open! The MHDA program honors excellence in design, detail and craftsmanship. We encourage creatives in building, architecture, remodeling, interior design, landscaping, and visual art to put forth their best work and enter.

Along with a panel of internationally acclaimed judges from every corner of the country, Midwest Home will evaluate all of the online entries (over 715 last year alone) and selects three semifinalists in 70 categories, honoring one with first place. Submissions are automatically in the running for the prestigious Best in Show award—the single best project determined by the highest score of the anonymous panel. First-, second-, and third-place winners are highlighted in the Midwest Home Design Awards commemorative issue in January/February 2025, while the overall Best in Show winner receives a multipage feature story that will also grace the cover.

If you want “in,” the window for submitting entries this year opens today and closes at 11:59 p.m. on July 31. This year, we’ve thoughtfully adjusted and added categories to reflect industry trends and feedback from previous entrants. All semifinalists will be notified in October and invited to a the awards gala on Dec. 2 at the Radisson Blu – Mall of America, where winners will be revealed and high distinction in home design and construction celebrated.

All entries must be submitted and paid for by 11:59 p.m., July 31, 2024. For details on the submission progress, the diverse project categories, the judging process, and more, view the official 2024 MHDA Entry Packet.
