Strolling through the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum’s gardens is always an exquisite experience, but this spring the arboretum will take exquisite to new heights. New York artist Sean Kenney’s award-winning LEGO exhibition will fill the gardens with 26 nature-inspired sculptures, some soaring to more than 6 feet in height. The exhibit is sure to delight visitors of all ages with its size, complexity, and beauty. A kids’ activity area will give young LEGO enthusiasts a chance to create their own sculptures and designs. —Kate LeRette

Exciting changes are afoot at FinnStyle, the destination store for Twin Cities’ aficionados of modern Finnish design for the past 13 years. The Glenwood Avenue store closed in February to reopen in March as AlwaysMod in a much expanded retail space in Golden Valley. The new store’s product offerings likewise expanded beyond Finland to brands from around the world that have a complementary modern aesthetic. AlwaysMod will be Minnesota’s exclusive dealer for Fritz Hansen (well known for the Arne Jacobsen Swan and Egg chairs). More new additions include Artek, Chilewich, Dwell Studio, George Jensen, Vitra, Alessi, and Kikkerland.—Chris Lee

Attend the annual American Craft Council Show in St. Paul to peruse the superb handmade wares. And for more inspiration, see how local interior designers incorporate the work of local and national craft council artists into living spaces. Interior designers Debra Herdman, Karen Soojian, Jaque Bethke, and Lucy Penfield created nature-themed vignettes tied to the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water.
