The Meaning Behind the Landschute Name
In 1975, Jon Monson, AIA, studied architecture in Landschute, a small medieval town in Germany. There, he developed an appreciation for the master builder practice of architect
as builder. To this day, the name Landschute stands for integrating the science and art of building—a seamless continuity between design and construction.
We Love What We Do
For more than 44 years, Jon and Mary Monson have been designing, building, and remodeling homes with the goal of enhancing one’s quality of life. We are a family business—we enjoy working together, we are passionate about what we do, and we have a deep sense of accountability. We are genuinely energized and excited by the opportunity to do what we love every day.
Leaving A Legacy
Because of our love and respect for history, there is a unique satisfaction that comes from saving an old structure from demolition and reworking it into a timeless gem. At the same time, we know when it makes more sense to start from scratch. Either way, it is a privilege to create something that will be beautiful for generations to come.
