If you’re the everything-in-its-place type—or even if you’re not—here’s an idea that will induce storage envy: a hidden, custom-outfitted space that keeps clutter off the countertop, and the hairdryer and makeup mirror exactly where you want them on a busy morning. It was the ideal solution for the owner of this contemporary condo. She directed the designers at Minneapolis interior design firm LiLu Interiors to keep her home visually organized—she wanted all to be simple, pared down, and low maintenance so she could focus on enjoying her teenage daughter’s last year in the nest. The gray palette in the master bathroom keeps visual clutter low, says LiLu’s LuAnne Silva, while the stained-glass mosaic wall, the polished Cambria countertop, the porcelain tile floor, and the custom-dyed quartered maple cabinetry add luxurious appeal.
