You can accomplish dramatic results without physically changing the footprint of your space or completely gutting it, evident by this Shorewood kitchen transformation.
Letitia Little, Allied ASID, CID of Letitia Little Interior Design, helped this busy young family transform their dark, outdated kitchen to a modern, bright, functional space through retaining the warm maple cabinets, replacing the dark backsplash with stone subway tiles, and adding an L-shaped island with ample storage and seating for six, the perfect spot for family meals or doing homework.
The island cabinets, done in linen white to set off the new granite countertop, repeat the raised panel style of the periphery cabinetry, while opaque glass pendants and tan vinyl covered stools provide practical, elegant, and stylish design elements.
With over 30 years of experience and a keen eye for design, Letitia says her job is to help clients interpret their vision. “My job is to listen carefully to my clients, then create spaces tailor-made to their lifestyle and interests,” she says. “We’re a team.”
