Frank Gehry’s Best Designs

You can’t cross the University of Minnesota campus without being dazzled—on a sunny day, quite literally—by the Weisman Art Museum on the east bank of the Mississippi. Designed by international starchitect Frank Gehry, the 1993 building with its stainless-steel curves and turrets has become a local landmark.

It’s in good company. Gehry’s spectacular designs have resulted in iconic and masterful buildings in cities across the country and internationally. For some serious eye-candy, check out Architectural Digest’s list of the 30 best Gehry designs of the past half century. One still on my bucket list: the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain.
