SOL Organics Luxury Bedding

Luxury bedding is an indulgence that quickly becomes a necessity. And plenty of home goods retailers, both online and brick and mortar, have stepped up to meet the demand.

Local entrepreneurs Vishal Naithani and Sachin Chauhan founded SOL Organics to sell luxury bedding—organic cotton, fair-trade sheets—at a price point that’s hard to beat: from $99 a set. The Edina-based company makes its sheets affordable by committing to a fair price model—rather than exorbitant markups on its premium, organic cotton—and by selling directly to consumers through solorganix.com.

SOL—an acronym for Sustained Organic Living—sources its cotton from farmers in India, which produces some of the world’s strongest and finest organic cotton. The 300-thread-count, sateen-weave sheets are made with single-ply yarn and long-staple threads to create durable yet soft sheets. SOL Organics aims to produce sheets that are not only better for the environment, but also ethically made: It relies on a transparent supply chain to ensure sheets are manufactured by a fair-trade-certified factory using only non-GMO-seed-certified raw organic cotton.

You spend a third of your life in bed—it only makes sense to spend it with sheets that are as safe and ethically made as they are luxurious.
