Indigo-Go!: The Textile Center hosts a free day of fiber art making experiences and a local fiber artist market. Indigo-Go! will show attendees how to do eco-friendly indigo dyeing for yarn using Ikat resist dyeing techniques, as well as kumihimo (Japanese) braiding with Textile Center teaching artists, or make plied bracelets using Somali techniques taught by elders from the Somali Museum of Minnesota. The day also includes a fiber art market from local artists, guided tours of the Textile Center’s current exhibitions, and complimentary refreshments.
