Chef Camp at Wilson & Willy’s: Knife Sharpening & Care Workshop: In anticipation of Chef Camp‘s summer retreat at Lake Superior in September, Minneapolis retailer shop Wilson & Willy’s is hosting a three-part series of workshops to bring the Northwoods experience to the North Loop. The series continues with a class on knife sharpening and care led by Chef Camp instructor Nick Zdon. (Attendees should bring their own knife.) Then, a camp chef will teach some basic knife skills and serve up some hearty tastes of food. Thursday, June 1 at 6 p.m. @ Wilson & Willy’s, 211 N. Midwest Home Luxury Home Tour: Tour nine of the newest high-end homes across the Twin Cities built by some of the best custom builders in the market. These homes will unveil the latest trends in architecture, design, craftsmanship, interior design, technology, landscaping, and more. Whether you’re looking to build, remodel, or seek inspiration, this year’s Luxury Home Tour is a must-go. Friday, June 2-Sunday, June 4 plus June 9-11 and June 16-18 from noon-6 p.m. daily @ various locations. Passport tickets to view all the homes are $20 in advance or $25 when purchased at the homes. Spring Pop-up at BANGbang Salon: Shop handmade goods by local makers and vintage clothing and home goods during this pop-up event from vendors including Kollektiv, Creative Fibers by Micka Sieve, reMASTROed, and Jesikah Orman Textiles. Edina Art Fair: Shop handmade arts and goods by 280 local artists and makers during the 51st annual Edina Art Fair at at the intersection of 50th and France. Featured makers include United Goods, known for its Minnesota-themed candles and prints. 2017 Iris Show: The Iris Society of Minnesota hosts its annual iris show, which features some of the best irises in the state in a juried competition. Participate by bringing a cut iris between 8 to 10 a.m. from your garden to display for judging. DIY Succulent Planter Bar: Carver Junk Co. hosts a DIY succulent planter bar. Stop in, select a container, choose your own succulent, and go home with instructions and supplies. Rather than a flat fee for a workshop, shoppers are charged per succulent. Mill City Farmer’s Market: Mill City’s farmer’s market has moved outdoors for the season. It’s Local District Maker Market at Grand Old Day: The longest block party of the year descends upon St. Paul’s Grand Avenue this weekend. Anonymous Choir Bazaar: The multi-talented ladies of vocal group Anonymous Choir have curated their favorite Twin Cities makers alongside their own modern handcrafted goods for this free, day-long market at stylish event space Paikka.
