Macy’s Store Closing Sale: Following last week’s confirmation that Macy’s will close its downtown Minneapolis flagship in March, comes the announcement of its closing sale. The sale begins today and is expected to last 10 to 12 weeks. While no specific details on discounts have been made public, shoppers should expect discounts of 20 to 40 percent storewide this week, including home goods, with deepening price cuts as March nears. This month is also your last chance to visit the restaurants on the 12th floor, including the Oak Grill and the Skyroom, which will close on January 27. American Swedish Institute Trunk Shows: Shop hand-crafted items by local makers and premium Swedish brands during this one-day trunk show.
