Pop-Up Shopping Favorites

Black Friday? Small Business Saturday? Cyber Monday? Plenty of shopping opportunities coming right up. But keep some gift buying in reserve for Saturday, December 3—when several pop-up shops around the Twin Cities will showcase local artisan wares.

American Craft Council’s Craft Sale + Open House. An exceptional selection of creators and their handmade creations will gather at ACC’s offices in Northeast Minneapolis. Items for sale include ceramics, jewelry, textiles, apothecary and more. Participating artists include: Annabella Sardelis of Indigo & Snow, Beth Novak Enamels, Ginny Sims Ceramics, Makwa Studios, Cedar + Stone, Wazo Designs, Silver Cocoon, and Apothicare. Sale held in the American Craft Council’s library, 1224 Marshall St. NE, Ste. 200, Minneapolis, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ART a go go Holiday Pop-Up. This second annual event features the work of dozens of local artists. Handcrafted wares include jewelry, soaps, candles, hand-painted ceramics, artisan foods, and more. Ciel Loft & Home Warehouse, 4950 35th St. St. Louis Park. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Julia Moss Designs. The shop will host a temporary gallery of Barbie-inspired art by Nicole Houff, a Minneapolis-based photographer with a mild obsession with the iconic doll. Among the pieces are Houff’s newest holiday Barbie picture and a collaboration between Houff and designer, stylist, and blogger Casey Fritz (otherwise known as Malibu Casey). Beverages and treats from Nikkolette Macarons; vintage silver items in a rainbow of colors by Julia Moss. Julia Moss Designs, 2508 Hennepin Ave. So., Minneapolis, noon to 5 p.m. The artwork will be available for viewing and purchase until January 1.
