Mama’s Happy Room Makeover Contest for Military Women

Mama’s Happy, the vintage furniture, home decor, and gifts retailer with four Twin Cities locations, kicked off a contest November 1 to celebrate Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving by giving away a room makeover to a member of the military or a spouse of a service member.

Mama’s Happy makes a habit of giving back to the community, often by refurbishing furniture and redecorating rooms for a local women’s shelter, but founder Amanda Ficek and the “mamas” who work with the shop decided that it was the perfect time of year to do something special for military mamas.

Female veterans, active duty or reserve, and mamas or spouses of service members who live within 50 miles of any of Mama’s Happy shop (located on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Stillwater, St. Louis Park, and Independence) are eligible. Just pick out a room to submit for a makeover—a bedroom, a craft room, or a living area where the family gathers (no kitchens or bathrooms), and enter here.

The winner, to be announced December 1, will start out 2017 with a one-room makeover, a wardrobe makeover by Lindsey Froemming of Fashion Fix MN, a haircut and style, and a gift from Von Maur.
