Target is on a roll this year, introducing exclusive brands and designer partnerships one after the other. When it comes to home furnishings, the retailer is hitting them out of the park.
Project 62, Target’s new modern home décor line, is making a splash this week. Commemorating 1962—the year modernist design hit its peak and the year Target was born—the Project 62 collection, including furniture, lighting, rugs, décor, and more, is now available online.
With its trendy finishes and chic good looks, midcentury modern enthusiasts will want to freshen up their rooms for fall.
A few fun pieces:
This stylish square, channel-tufted chair is a versatile little number, upholstered in a linen-polyester blend.
The angular, leggy, 72-inch table and armless chairs with comfy, foam-filled seats create a complete mid-mod look.
Project 62’s well-priced accessories are fun, too. This brass floor lamp adds classic style with its curved stand and glass globe shade.
Then there’s this end table, perfect near a sofa or as a plant stand.
Rugs and pillows? Project 62 offers plenty of options for both, from rugs in a classic midcentury color palette to color-blocked pillows.
Next up at Target: A just-announced partnership with Chip and Joanna Gaines—the duo behind Magnolia and HGTV’s “Fixer Upper.” Hearth & Hand with Magnolia will launch in early November. Described as homey, modern, industrial, and vintage, the affordable line of tabletop, home décor, and gifts (most items under $30) will be on shelves just in time for holiday gatherings.
