Bruce Lenzen Design/Build
This intuitive floor plan masterfully combines superior function with dazzling form while showcasing creative illumination and indescribable views; it really is the pinnacle of luxury.
Located on the banks of the St. Croix River, the striking 7,000-square-foot soft contemporary home was custom-built for empty nesters. They selected Bruce Lenzen Design/Build for Bruce Lenzen’s 30 years of experience, portfolio of distinguished design, homes of exceptional quality and architectural sophistication which work in harmony with their natural surroundings. Additional benefits of working with BLDB include the interior design services of ALL Design Group and professional construction management.
When inside the house, the river is never far from sight. That was intentional, Lenzen explains. The home was situated to leverage views from nearly every room—even the mudroom. In the great room, master bedroom and kitchen, the outdoors become part of the interior landscape when large glass pocket doors slide open or disappear into the wall. Other stunning features include a natural slate roof, contemporary gas lanterns, an 1,800-bottle main floor stone wine cellar, mahogany ceilings and roof soffits, sophisticated millwork applications and cabinetry created from tropical African Anigre hardwood, custom light fixtures, multiple linear gas fireplaces, and two separate staircases, one leading to the guest suite; the other to a large studio. Finally, a 2,300-square-foot patio features a louvered roof system and screened outdoor living area. On balmy summer evenings the couple can entertain on the kitchen patio, sit around the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub under the stars.
Gorgeous and livable, this home will augment any lifestyle.
