The owner, Steve Hodgden, has extensive hands-on experience as a home builder and restoration expert. He has served as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Education Director of SPPI (Society of Professional Property Inspectors) and is a Charter Certified member of same.
Steve is also a certified member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), which is recognized nationwide as the leading authority in the inspection field. He has served as Educational Director of the local ASHI chapter and also served on the board of Member Verification for National ASHI. Steve is one of very few to receive a "Master Inspector" desination from ASHI Great Plains chapter. Steve is also a certified member of NACHI, The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
Midwest Home is an affiliate member of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. As Midwest Home is the oldest inspection company in the Kansas City area, Steve Hodgden pioneered state-of-the-art home inspections as we know them today. Over the years Midwest Home has served as "expert witness" for many Kansas City law firms.
